[1] The school closed before the end of the Mandate and the building—known as Beit Hannah after Hannah Chizik—fell into disuse. In 1996 it was restored, and the ground floor opened as a café—the Café Apropo. It was here on 22 March 1997 that a Palestinian Arab killed himself and three Israeli women.

    [3] This high ground was known as Ha-Radar (The Radar). In recent years an Israeli town was built there (it lies just across the Green Line). Almost imperceptibly the name changed, and it is now Har Adar (Adar Hill, Adar being one of the months in the Hebrew calendar).
